2005 Wrx (when will it be available?)

2005 Wrx
Hey, I've been reading on this forum for awhile now, but this is my first post. Anyways, I will most likely be getting a WRX in 2-4 months depending on when the 2005 comes out. I've used the search, and never really found any information about when it will be available. Thanks, and any help is appreciated.

Well I know the 2004 STi and WRX came out last March. However I talked with a few dealers and they all said the new cars were coming in August. I dont know how true this is, just passing on the information.

I think the early release of the '04 was because of the substantial cosmetic changes which they wanted to get to market (in the case of the WRX) - I bet the 05 will be here in the August/September timeframe, and it will probably be as different from the 04 as the 03 was from the 02. (02 production stopped in May or June of 02, iirc - I imagine the 04's will run until that time this year)

Subaru is famous for trying to mess designs up real bad when they try to go fancy...hope they don't mess up the new wrx's...or maybe they should! that way us the owners of the current 03 and 04 styles will have "classic" cars.

As I've mentioned in a few posts, I plan to buy a WRX this summer, around the June/July time frame... Now you have me wondering if I should take advantage of the model year closeouts or hold off for an '05....
