2002 with 58,800?

Found a black 02 with 58,800 asking $16,500. KBB prices it at roughly $14,700. Only thing is the car has a 100k mile warrenty. What should that add to the resale vaule?

I wouldn't pay any more than book for it, regardless of the warranty.

Yeah thats the one. She's an idiot. She was asking $18,000 at first and she told me she wouldnt go lower because thats what she owed on it. I told her the KBB price and she doesn't think Kelley Blue Book is a good way of pricing a car. Whatever. I'm waiting for her to go $14k.

it's

not bad mileage for an 02..when it comes' to buying a used car it boils down to a few things..

1.mileage
2.condition of car..you can tell alot about a car from meeting the owner...
3.do you really want that car
4.maintence records if any
5.kelly blue book price

of course if all that checks out and the owner is still asking for a lil higher price find out why..maybe she has mod's on the car ?...if so then that's why she's asking for more money..it comes down to this..if u take care of ur car and invest some money, there will be people out there willing to pay what u ask..the thing is waiting for that person to come along..example

i didnt know anything about the wrx's untill i meet my gf who has an 02 wrx..after that i was hooked..i just bought an 02 wrx in jan 05 and going on my 2nd yr as 2nd owner..the car only had 4k on the speedo..i bought it from an oldman that wanted something diff..i only paid 20'gs for the car..i got a deal..well it was complete stock..so the modding begin..needless to say me and the gf is still together and both our car's our doing good...hope this helps...

do your research...

i talked to this same girl, i am in the market for a black wrx. She told me that there is a used dealership that will buy the car for 15k, so she will not go any lower than that. Just to let you know...

From: FIXED the Hack: IWSTI>iclub - really, was the hack necessary; as in why the insecurity? Most people on this forum don't even have an STI- so that site isn't meant for them anyway- damn communists and their free-speech stifling ways

Wow. This price is WAY too high! The story about the dealership offering her that much for the car is a joke. I traded in my 02BlackWRX (name sound familiar, he he) in September 05 for a new 06 STI and only got 13200 for it then (which I thought was a fair price). My bugeye only had 47k, had new performance tires and new pads and slotted disks, and looked great and was well maintained. It also had the 60k Added Security factory warranty. Shop around for a better deal (or wait until she lowers her price to something closer to 14000). Good luck.

Almost $2K above KBB? No, not a good deal. For reference, I purchased mine in 04 for $17K with 19K miles, private party sale.

I wouldnt pay more than $14,500.

sorry shes full of !#%! the dealer would not pay private party blue book for that car, they would pay her 2-4k below that which is retail.

58.8K miles mean a 60K service around the corner which would set up back 500~600 if you don't do any of the work yourself.
