Hi, im looking to buy a wrx. I either want a used 03 with low miles or a brand new 04 (not STI). I like the look of 04's but Im wondering how much aftermarket stuff i can to to the 04, because the salesman told me I can fit anything out for the 02-03 for the 04's since they are the same. Is this true? And i plan on doing enough performance mods to go faster than the STI.

What is the stock 1/4 time?

And what kind of stock tires do they have, because i've seen the bridgestone potenza on 1 in the booklets. If it is, i can prolly get a parts supplier discount on new 04's.. since i work ate firestone/bridgestone.

 

not all parts for 02/03 will fit 04, most notably the body kit and suspension bits.

stock quarter mile time is around 14 sec, i think.

the stock tires are bridgestone potenza re092. do a bit more research and you'll hear countless *****ing and moaning for the lovely rubbers. i doubt you'll be able to get discount just for the tires by flashing them your employment card...unless bridgestone have some arrangement as a company with subaru. if you're planning on modding, you will get new tires. use your discount for s03.

 

i would buy an 04 and start modifying from there, you start fresh and not worry about what someone else has done.
