02 WRX wagon with 6400 miles

I know that this question has been asked many times, but I think this is a rare case. There is a WRBP 02 WRX wagon for sale at a local dealership that has 6400 miles on it. Apparently the guy was in the military and got shipped overseas right after he got it so he didn't get to drive it much. They offered to sell it for 17,200, which seems in line with edmunds and quite a bit lower than kbb. What I want to ask you is, is this a good price? I am definitely leaning towards getting it, but I wanted some input from people who are more familiar with WRX's.

For what it is worth, I sold two '02 WRX wagons this year at our dealership. Both in the 30K range for miles. One sold for $21K the other one for $19.5K. So, the price is good. My concern is how long it's been stored, last time driven etc. Was it on blocks and drained? Or do you now have 4 flat spotted tires and serious grunge where you should have fluids????

Like NW OBS said. Price is good, but how long has it sat? If buying from a dealership make them run it through all the appropriate tests.
If they can guarantee the car is good...I'd say it is a steal for that price....paid 19k for mine with 47,000 miles on it last year, no regrets...as it was fully tuned to 250whp saved a lot of money that way

Good luck
