I sold my RS the other day and decided to part out the 03 wrx engine with 23k(carfax miles) and misc. parts I had laying around. The engine was purchased in 2004 from a dishonest guy who said everything was good with the intention of dropping it in a previous swap I did. I dropped the engine in a and it had a spun rod bearing, so I removed it and purchased another ej20 from Japan direct of Raleigh NC.
I chose to tear this engine down and rebuild it, but I got busy so the engine never got put back together. The heads were cleaned and inspected by T-hoff machshop of Raleigh NC and I had ferrea std. SS valves shimmed, installed and clearances checked Heads r sold!!! . They r ready to be installed...The engine ran awesome with the exception of the spun rod bearing, which only stayed in the car for 2 days before dropping another one in. The engine was extremely clean when I bought it and even cleaner after I installed it. I have a list below of what I have and pics hosted by photobucket...
