Just ditched a broken 2003 Mitsubishi Eclipse GTS 5 spd today. I was going to buy an EVO later on, but a second blown tranny in 6 months left me a little pissed with Mitsu.

Also on the list: 1991 Mercury Sable (T-boned)
1984 Mercury Marquis (fell apart)
1986 Isuzu Trooper (fell apart, caught fire)
1997 Ford Taurus (traded in after 3 breakdowns in 2 weeks)
2003 Mitsubishi Eclipse (dead as a doornail, towed off as a trade)

Now I'm in a 2005 STi, WRC Blue w/gold wheels.

So, that being said, "Hi everybody!"

What was happening to yours???
Joe
The final drive gear in the diff blew at the drag strip on my first tranny. My second tranny was brand new out of an 03 GTS wrecked at the dealer's lot. I don't know what went on it, I just knew various bits and pieces ended up in places they shouldn't have been. I just had the thing towed off to the suby dealer instead of paying to fix it.

Turns out the GTS is having tranny issues since it's inception in 03. Also, Consumer Reports lists the o3 Eclipe (but not other 3G's) as problematic. Oh well, it's gone now.

Had 3 white acura integras 88, 91, 97. I mostly miss the black leather and the sunroofs!

To tell you the truth, I'd have bought a GSR integra in 2002 if the hadn't stopped making it. I don't like the RSX much.
