I had this puppy for 10 years before selling it and getting my next car in 1999 which I still have up to this day:

1999 Subaru Impreza Outback Sport
This thing can take a beating and comes back for more. Currently have about 122,000 miles on it. Planning to get either an 06' or 07 Legacy GT - depending on the funds at that point.

Some of you all have had some cool cars.
My first car was a 1974 Chevy Nova, still had the 6 cyl but we gave it power disk brakes, power steering and made it from a 3 on the tree to a 4 on the floor. That car was fun, pretty slow, but i could get rubber in all 4 gears.

Second car was a 2001 Chevy Malibu, this car was very plain, but seemed practical, until it hit 65000, then it fell apart. Brakes, ignition, gaskets, fuel system, everything crapped out.

Then I bought my 2005 Subaru 2.5RS. This car is fun, a little noisier than the Malibu, but a lot less noisy than the Nova.

I'm still a big fan of Chevy and American muscle, but until they get their act together, I'll stick with Subaru.

It Was Retro

Yes, before I graduated college and managed to have a job to by my first Subie. I had a 1979 Pontiac Sunbird Hatchback with the 231 Buick v6 non-turbo. 4 speed with single wheel rear wheel drive. Switching to AWD was a blessing. Not to mention a 115 HP to 300 HP jump.
