yakima snowbaord rack for 06 sti(sedan)

ok so i have been doing some research for the past week or so about these racks and was still kind of skeptical.. i was wondering if someone can help me out on this.. well i have been looking around for some and it seems as if people only sell it in pieces.. i cant seem to find the whole kit.. so far i have found some people that are selling q78 clips and q towers seperate.. i have not been able to find the crossbars yet and i wasnt planning to buy the top part that actually holds the boards until i find the crossbars.. it is better to just buy the rack piece by piece and wait for parts to be on sale or just buy the whole rack complete? does anyone know where i can buy the rack complete? im located in the sacramento area and im wondering if there are any vendors in the area that would sale them, i know that sierra ski and snowboard doesnt.. im not trying to buy it from the actual Yakima site seeing how they are kinda pricey.. does anyone have any experience with the different types of yakima racks such as the Fatcat, Freshesh, or the PowderHound?

any input would be greatful.. thanks in advance.. and sorry if i sound too much of a noob

sorry if i ended up posting this in the wrong section, it seemed to be the best spot for me.. please move it if it has to be moved.. thanks

I got q-towers and 48" crossbars from one guy, then snowboard attachment off another. Both off craigslist. Together it was something like $150. Had to get the Q78 clips new as well as the 44" fairing for $70 each.

You can buy it all new from other stores, REI, Rack & Road, etc, but anywhere new will cost you just as much as from Yakima or Thule directly. I think on the Yakima website it will tell you vendors that are in your area. I suggest buying what you can off craigslist to save you some money. I repainted the towers and board attachment so they look brand-freakin new. Not bad considering a new package is well over $500. Hope this helps
