Looking into the matter. This is the first I've heard of anything like this. I use Firefox and never noticed anything amiss until I read your post. I fired up MS Internet Explorer v7 and was notified by my firewall of a possible hijack attempt, but did not allow the pop-up to appear so I don't know what it is.
Can you recall as close to exact as possible what the pop-up message was selling?

Damn! Popped it off without reading ~ this is about the 6th time in as many days... not always the same ad (I would have caught that!).
It is ONLY when I am on I-Club (wasn't sure the 1st few times, as I had been hitting other websites). But, the last three times I was ONLY on I-Club during my session.
I gave up PC 4-5 years ago and until now, have never seen a damn pop-up again on my Mac (Powerbook)...
If it happens again ~ I'll try and save it PDF and attach to a post...

Probably referring to the Intellitext ads.

I'd forgotten about Intellitext since it was implemented more than a year ago and I've been using Firefox for longer than that. Between the NoScript and Adblock plug-ins, I don't see much of anything intrusive on any site I visit.

hmmm buddy i think ur trippin.. I-club doesn't have any pop-ups. I viewed their source code for the "home page" and theres nothing with "*AD START*" in it or anything like it. I'd say ur infected with adware or spyware... try getting LavaSoft's adaware and scanning ur PC and getting a program called Hijackthis and see whats up.. Im in the IT field so shoot me a message if u need help
EDIT* just read that u were using a Mac..

There are no pop ups here. Just Intelli text, but it does not pop on its own. Only if u hover over the word with ur mouse. Is that what you are referring to? If not, then you have to remove whatever spyware you got for somewhere that is causing those pop ups for you.

I admit total defeat.
I have never had a pop-up on my Mac in 5 years... and it only seems to happen after viewing I-Club. Close it up and there it is (was?).
If could reproduce it I would.
Any anti-ad ware/spy ware for Mac? It's never been a problem till now...
My apologies to those who checked and found nothing ~
Maybe all I was getting was from my mouse hovering where it shouldn't???
