Re: WRX Owners: Would you buy Again?
Have had an MY02 Sport Wagon since 12/01. Aside from the easy-ding body panels (not just the aluminum hood either), it is a great car. I'd buy another though. Not much out there that offers the package this car does.

Agree with Bling though I'd get another blue if I had the chance. Picked it up in April and by July it was modded out enough to destroy the turbolag issue. I baby her most of the time, using the massive power for the sole purpose of closing holes that would cost me substantial time. No car can seriously keep up with me, at least around here, and at least in real-world driving (ie, not going down to the track and taking on the STis etc).
My mods cost $3K. Well worth it. Get it!

i bought my 04 WRX back in July & despite the fact that i've only owned it for a few months, i would definitely invest in another one, when the time comes. however, as it stands, if i were to buy another car OTHER than my rex, i'd get the STi
.
.
It all depends on what you like. If you like how it handles, I'd probably get another one, but if you're lookin' for somethin' less gas consuming or with more handling power, I'd look elsewhere.

I would definitely get another WRX (or STI if I could afford it) if anything happened to my '02.
I've had mine for just under two years now and have not had any problems at all. It is the most exciting and complete driver's car I've ever had.
Is it perfect? No, but I can't personally find real fault for the excellent value for money. I'm taking very good care of mine, 'cause I intend to keep if for a long time. I think this car will be something of a classic (in a trend-setting icon sort of way) in years to come IMHO.

I bought again
Moved from UK to US - bought a US spec 04 WRX to replace my 1 year old UK WRX. For the price I don't think there is anything better, plus you get used to driving 4wd which is fantastic.
Also looked at a 350z and an RX-8 but the Scoob won out in the end.

Just reading through your posts, liked this one because im making the same decision. Buying a 02' WRX, or 02' RSX, or 97' 328is.
RSX has the reliablity but im finding that theres some big gear problems
BMW has some expensive fixes
As for the WRX, what are some of the "cons"
I know the pro's...everyone does = )

you know i did just that, im actually on my 2nd impreza wrx, i had some complications with mother nature.... as you can see i already awnsered your question and i did buy another wrx, my reason is because i am a subaru enthusiast, granted i would have loved to get an STi, but my college budget doesnt allow me too...

I'd definately buy another WRX but I'll also be looking at the new Legacy when it comes out next year.

Now, a REAL classic will be one that wasn't beat to hell by its owner
