wrx not even top 50

I have seen two mags that claim to rate the top 50 or top cars of 2005 and the wrx/sti are not listed. What gives? the evo was listed. If you pick up the latest road and track (2005 vett) issue you will see that the 05 vett #s are only 0.1 sec faster in 1/4 mil and 0-60. I can feel 2 ways about this, pissed or glad to have the sleeper. What do you think.

I think as long as you are happy with your car then it doesn't matter if it's listed in the top 50. It's nice to have your car appreciated by those in the industry, but it is you who drives the car and as long as your wrx/sti puts a smile on your face I wouldn't worry about. My wrx puts a smile on my face everytime I turn the key.

All I know is this: I love my car. It does everything I want it to. It does stuff I don't need it to. It fits my groceries, my luggage or whatever I can stuff in it. While it's full of gear, it still stomps the *** of most every other car on the road (ask many a driver on Hwy 20...).

I really don't care how R&T or C&D rate the WRX. I know it's a great car and I own one. That's all I care about.

hmmm!i think Mitsubishi have paid some pretty good money to some one in dose mags not to get the wrx/sti listed. It just doesn't make sense that the evo was in it and the sti wasn't.

Who cares?
The Evo is fairly new in the states, compared to the WRX. I know it doesn't hold true for the STi...

yeah but they acknowledged that if it wasn't for the wrx that the evo would not even be here...so that's +1 for the wrx.

who cares that our car isn't getting the media attention we feel it should get? i can enjoy my car more knowing that most people won't know what i drive, well, aside from the hot chicks that only know type R cars.....

You also got to figure who is doin the ratings here. If you look at comsumers report the wrx rates higher than the sti , last i checked, becuase the sti is a rougher riding car.

I mean what are they looking for? Generally its not the untilmate boy racers car. From what i can tell looks, appeal, and name seem to have more meaning behind their desicisions than raw potential or performance unless its just damn right unreal but what can you do? We aren't the editors of those mags anyways or the wrx may actually be on top yes?

Also keep in mind that the WRX is a few years old now. The Corvette is a new generation. They like to reward changes. Although the WRX might be as good/better than others above them on the list, they really have not changed much recently since 02. Yeah they changed the headlights and some external design, but the basic car is the same.

I think... that I will not lose any sleep about it. If I wanted one of the cars on the list, I'd buy one. But I don't, and I won't.
