Why do you love your WRX?
I was curious of why everyone here loves there WRX? is your next one going to be an STi maybe? I love both cars however I would like to know from the perspective of the forum members why not the STi and are you satisfied with your regular WRX? Why do you love it? I have been going back and forth on weather or not to get a used low mileage STi next spring or just buy one of the restyled regular WRX's brand new with 0 miles. I hear alot of bad things about the transmissions and clutches of the regular WRX however I hear the 6 speed is more than proven, I do not doubt either powerplant but there are other issues besides power. Thanks, looking forward to hearing from all the Scooby owners.

1. The WRX is a fantastic performer as a sports car.
2. It's very well-made and sold at a bargain price for the performance you get.
3. It's a sleeper car. I love that.
4. The STi will probably not be my next car. For me, the only benefit of the STi is the fact that it's 1/2 second faster than the WRX Sedan on the 0-60. That 1/2 second is not worth the additional $10K in cost. The rest of the STi performance advantages are legal to use on the track only. I don't drive on the track.
5. If you know how to use a manual shifter and you don't try to launch the car all of the time, the WRX manual 5 w/short throw is a fine shifter. RPM matching to downshift to 1st at low speed takes some practice.

or, if you want to put it into a completely rational perspective based on the presumption that "you get what you pay for.."
the WRX Sedan is 4.6% of the WRC Impreza.
the STi is 6.6% of the WRC Impreza.

The WRX gets much better gas mileage than the STi and is more comfortable on long trips. My car is a commutor and the STi is not good for that. If you are talking performance the STi is better all the way around. I also like the bugeyes!
I love my WRX because......
It's my first new car.
It's fast enough for me (just installed AccessPort last night and love it even more).
LOVE the bugeyes (previous: TVR Cebera Speed 6, too bad you can't buy it here in US).
It's AWD, never go back to FF ever again.
I can't come up with other reasons at the moment, will add more later.

1. I love the bugeyes
2. with a little work, the WRX, can be fastAr than the STI
3. like yzercyber said......its a total sleeper....lots of people know about the STI and its performance....so when that Mustang pulls up next to a WRX, The driver thinks, "oh, just a regular WRX...noooo problem." Then gets his azz handed to him by a "just a regular WRX," Then the mustang driver is like
, and I am like....
hahahaha
4. its UBER sexAy, sometimes I just sit there and stare at my car, taking in all of its sexyness.
