who the heck wants to listen to chin boy
I saw this road and track special and they had Jay Leno test drive the STI and he bashed on it. said the hood scoop was a bread box and its looks are ugly. I felt like saying hey, if we could afford a gt2 porche then maybe we would get one, but the sti is not ugly in the least bit youre just a snob! sorry i had to vent on that one

Out of the whole crew that tested with sti with leno, he was the only one who didnt love it. Oddly enough, he was like also the only one who was not a proffessional driver.
He's just mad that it doesnt look like an austin healy.
And yeah, it is ugly, but thats what makes it rad. Its ugly in a GOOD way, like an A-10 warthog.

I like Jay and think he was being very honest. The wrx and STi are not award winners when it comes to looks but he said he understood the market and thought it was a good performer. The hood scoop is big but the car needs it. SOme articles I read said that he thought it was a great performer and comming from a guy who had mclarens, ferraris and a hell of a lot of other cars, what do you expect.

i watched this european show that talked about the new sti and evo. they totallyyyyyyyyyyyy bashed on the looks of both cars, espicially the STI.
After that portion of the show they did get quite nuts on the track and enjoyed the performance aspect of the cars.
Looks like a lot of people don't appreciate the looks of our car.
Hopefully that will keep the rice boys away.

Both STi (or any WRX) and EVO are not made to look pretty. They are neither exotics nor classics. They are made to whoop *** on any surface on most cars including the EXOTICS and CLASSICS that Leno loves so much. Everything on that car is made for a specific reason.
A good example of that would be to trace the Mitsu Eclipse history. From the 1G rally-bread pocket rocket, to 2G stylish performance compact to castrated looks-over-function 3G piece of stylish automotive poo.
To not like the STi (or WRX or EVO) it is silly. You cannot NOT appreciate it.
