Whats Up with ScoobyMods.com?
I was doing some searching on the web last night for ways to interface with the in dash 6 disc unit in my 05 WRX and an I-clubber posted up a link to a mod on ScoobyMods.com. I thought, "cool, I'll have a peak and see whats up. Besides maybe that site will be as helpfull as i-clubb has been during my ongoing Subaru education". As most of you probably already know, my search didn't get far before I had to register... No problem I run a board myself (www.classicboatbeachbash.com/forums) and understand the need to keep tabs on who's using the site. So I register and then find out that I have to PAY to view any of the mod forums.
So how does this tie into i-clubb? Well, I'd like to say thank you to all of the members who openly and willingly share the information they have garnered through their experiences, misfortunes, and observations. I am very active in the high performance boating industry, and had taken the amount of information myself and my peers exchange for granted. Stumbling accross the pay to play mentality over at ScoobyMods.com opened my eyes to how great the FREE exchange of information between like-minded individuals really is. Thanks again to my fellow i-clubbers for sharing, and keep up the great sense of comradarie that I have felt here since I first registered. Hopefully as time goes on, I'll become less of a sponge and more a resource for other SubieNewbies.
Thanks,
Chris
