is axle back the same thing as catback or is it just the muffler...

 

Its not a cat back, the stock cat back has a flange halfway in it, right by the axle. So an axle back is the muffler to the axle flange, but not the piece from there to the cat. But you can usually get that part later if you'd like.

 

I just love visuals.. the axle back stops at the flang welded to the muffler pipe.

the axel back is just the rear section of the exhaust.

there aren't many companies that make them, a few are blitz, prodrive, and turbo xs.

its more of a site and sound thing then a performance mod.

I have never stept foot in a 'ricer store' and seen any thing other than universal parts... except for healight covers, taillights, and body kits that is. Usualy they are just selling the mufflers wtich you would need to weld on an adaptor and clap on the muffler (stainlees dont weld to good) to your axle back in place of the stock muffler .... like i did

by far an axle back section is much cleaner looking.
