Anyone with a tire smaller than 225 on a 9 or larger.......... is way too cool with their herrafrush ****.

I'm running Federal SS-595 255/35/18 on my 18x9.5 setup. Slight stretch but nothing crazy. Rolled the rears and slight roll in the fronts on an 05 WRX. Name: NT03MResized.jpg

Purely retarded.

Why not on an 8 instead where the tire is more useful? Less drivetrain drag. Less money for wheels.

The new widebodies have a lot of space. They can easily fit a 265. A little work needs to be done for 275. But it's not unreasonable.

Both a 265/35/18 and 275/35/18 would be a pretty good fit. 255/35/18 would be a bit too narrow.

275/35/18 im guessing? and yea the 255s are narrow and i know they are too short for the sti, i want to say the same holds true for the WRX

With WRX gearing you want a 35 rather than a 40 anyways to help shorten the gearing.

I'm aware. What I was addressing is the lower than ideal offset and redundant sizing for a street car. The ideal 9.5" configuration is a +44, but you're still running a wheel that will never be fully utilized by anything but a real track setup. For a street driven Subaru, you won't benefit from anything over 8.5". There are downsides to going too big.

Ok cool, so 265 or 255 is the ideal size. Nice. If you have pics even better. Thanks guys!!! FYI my fenders are rolled and pulled already.
