water in trunk?

water in trunk?
if you have a subie with a wing does water get in the trunk when it rains or you wash your car? i was wonding if it was the gasket or i need a wingless trunk. water pores in the screw holes. tell me what you think.

yeh, I would definately have it checked. Maybe go buy some rubber, remove the wing, cut a piece of rubber to match the part of the wing that mates to the trunk, and almost gasket it.

It is not a big issue. Under the base part of the wing there are little flat rubber gaskets around every bolt hole and over time they harden and let water pass. All you need to do is either get some rubber gasket material and make your own thicker (just a little) gaskets or if you do not remove the wing at all you could probably just use some clear silicone around each hole and reset the wing. I had the same problem and this fixed it completely. FYI
