so here is a little insight to what my life has been like this past month owning my lil' rex - oh and by the way i'll do my best to make a long story short.
so it all started when i was modding the car.. when i put in my aps cai and my aps 3.5" tb/e with no cats my ecu started acting up even though i had the cel fix kit or spacer for the 02 sensor. I run a PO174 and even when the sensor had been replaced it still was coming up. so my mechanic told me i had one of the problematic '02's and SOA would reflash it (i am waiting for my ecutek reflash to take care of it) but needless to say i spit some.. moving on - my stock clutch finally gave and i replaced it with an rps max power/ sprung 6 puck. in between ordering that and having (from a previous owner) some what of a scr3wed tranny (which got warranty replaced). but going on chronilogically - i had parked my car outside of my place (it look stock, fmic removed, stock rims, etc - and i have a nice security system) so i could get in and out of my garage with my gixer. so my car was vandalized - sharttered windshield, scuffed up rear passenger window and multiple dents on the roof and roof moldings. so my car went to the dealership to be stored (i wasn't taking any more chances). i got the windshield and rear window replaced but when the rear passenger window was put in and the windshield popped out (by the glass person) the rear window shattered (consequently that night it hailed and rained a couple inches in a couple hours - made for a fun moto ride home!). so after the weekend the rear window was finally once again replaced. but! the glassman as i noticed after he had left had left a bunch of scratches to my front fender and hood as well as my rear passenger door and pillar, and to top that off he even put in my windshield wrong (it sunk b/c the plastic molding below it wasn't properly put back - the windshield wasn't taped or held in place by little clips either) so all of the razor blade scratches are exposed b/c the molding is so low. well after driving my new clutch it was slipping (i know how to break in clutches i've done it a few times) so i knew it wasn't my fault.. not to mention when going into first gear it makes a shriek at the flywheel/ clutch area and when engine breaking in second for example (down hill) you can hear those parts making funny 'grinding' sounds. so today on the way to get my buddy who's sti is getting worked on i threw a cell and my throttle was acting up on me. so i scanned it and it is a PO122 for a messed up TPS (throttle position sensor) which i might add is not a problem you want to have when breaking in a hardcore clutch.
so to conclude i feel better from telling my story which was a shi**y process.. i hope none of you are having bad 'Carma' right now..
so far i have a new windshield going in tomorrow.
the 'auto glass' guys are owing me $1400.00 in compensatory damages.
my brand new clutch and rebuilt tranny is, well, who knows what- hopefully not damaged from this possible faulty clutch/ install (except i know the clutch has gotta go, i'm sure i'll need a new one).
thanks for listening to my complainin'.
i hope your last couple of weeks haven't been this bad!
