V4 in 1995 Impreza?

Question V4 in 1995 Impreza?

k maybe im the only one who thinks its weird, but my 95 impreza has a V4 instead of inline, did they do this in a lot of models??

uhhh...do you mean you have a boxer engine? It's actually a boxer flat-four. Shouldn't be shaped like a V.

No Imprezas have ever had inline or V engine designs. They've all been horizontally opposed 4 cylinder engines. Are you 110% positive that you have a V4? And on that note, I can't think of any car that has a V4

Yes please post pics but if you are correct it would mean that someone did some kind of frankenstein engine swap on your subaru. Also do you know history on the car?

Here's one for you by ford

Essex V4 was a V4 engine from Ford Motor Company made at the plant in Essex. The engine was available in two capacities, 1633cc and 1996cc, differing only in stroke. This engine was used on the Ford Corsair, Capri Mk I, Consul/Granada Mk I, Ford Zephyr 4 Mk IV and certain models of the Ford Transit van.
