Using Zaino wax
Hey all, I washed my car and applied the Zaino polish-lok with their applicator then I applied the Z-2 Polish after that but it didn't seem to get very cloudy or opaque when it dried. I'm not sure I'm either rubbing hard enough or using enough of it. Also, I washed my car at sundown and because of that I missed a lot of stupid stuff that I should have removed during the car wash. What's the best way to strip the polish and etc that I put on quickly. Using Dawn dishwashing liquid to wash the car I guess? Thanks!

Don't use Dawn. Your car is not dinnerware. The detergents in dish soap can be very harmful to your paint and dull the finish. Use a shampoo made for automobiles. To really clean it, use P21S Total Auto Wash. That's a citrus-based cleaner that is safe for automobile finishes. I got this handy-dandy info from http://www.autopia.ws/articles.php?articleId=9

Actually, Sal Zaino recommends using Dawn to initially strip the car of all grease and older wax. It is not a recommended practice for weekly car washing maint. As shaggamag00nie recommended a good Auto car wash soap is preferred after you get the inital polish lok and swirl remover applied. Go sparingly with the products. Lighter coats, multiple times yeilds better results.
Check out Sal's website he has a lot of good tips. I learned the hard way too.
Good luck, the finish is awesom when you get it done.
