Nope. The big *** vent right in front of the scoop takes care of all the engine bay cooling needs.

I'll go try and dig up the interview where Lapworth said that the hoodscoop is merely a marketing tool...

The scoop on Cusco JGTC car is marketing only too.
Cusco wants to get rid of it for better aerodynamics but Subaru requests them to keep it.

Tuner Transformations might not be the best show on tv, but it sure as hell beats more NASCAR! Anyways, tuning is all in the eye of the beholder.

Hey Netzr0 - just so you know bro, the reason why adding FMIC adds more lag is because you add a huge amount of piping to the engine intake. That means more piping for the turbo to compress air into, which means that the compressed air takes longer to get to the engine. Hence, the lag.

A bigger turbo will give you even more lag, but when it hits, it'll be harder. Turbo Audi's use two little turbo's for a reason, almost instantaneous power, very little lag. 300Z's use dual turbo's for a reason, the little turbo spools up the big one faster, less lag. People who want an a$$load of power, get big-a$$ turbo's, and just deal with the lag. Small turbo, small power, small lag. Big turbo, big power, big lag.

i think that the air intake is below the scoop on some of the rally cars. i saw an auto show pic of the rally car and they had a filter set up that looked like the "uintercooler style" air intake you can find in the ads in car mags. im thinkingabout trying something like that when i get a turboed car.

I thought the car was great I'm in my 40's I had a WRX (prodrive areo package)then I traded it in for the Sti. The performance is great but but the look is more than I need (Bling) They could have transformed my car in the same way. I was told that the wing wt. is 40 lbs. I just don't want to slow the car down at all. with all that work reflash intake the 0-60 was only .1 quicker, salom spd gain 2mph not bad I would have like to see the 1320 times.
