Exclamation Trunk pops really hard after wind removal (2006 WRX)

My 2006 WRX used to have a Wing on it, but I removed it. After removing it the trunk pops REALLY hard now. It pops so hard I feel like it is going to break out my window. Ive looked but cant find out how to adjust it, does anybody know how? Ive got to the point of using bungee cords to help slow the pop speed, but they break. Any help would be much appreciated, thanks!

There are there bar type of springs that you can somewhat adjust.
a little google search and Nasioc has something about it.

Disconnect one of the two torsion bars underneath the parcel shelf in the trunk and you should be all good man.

Well i took off one of the bar things and it wouldn't hold the trunk up, so i decided to put it back on and use a bungie cord to slow it down. At least until i can get new trunk rod things. thanks guys

You need trunk torsion bars from a wingless trunk.
