yes and yes. Sand isn't good for anything (except maybe removing paint). I thought I'd see scratches or dull marks in the bumper, but there was no evidence (didn't even have to wax it). As far as rust, I kept it out of the wet sand as much as possible. Then I hit the high pressure washer on the way home.

Bugs Bunny voice on..."Here we are Pizmo Beach, all the clams we can eat".

That place is a blast. I got my 81 Toyota 4x4 stuck pretty bad there. My brother pulled me out. On the way home, my tranny, u-joints, and clutch all went out. That sucked. Do-nuts for ever in the sand. Too much fun, way too much fun.

Definately. If anyone wants to go down together, let me know. I almost have my truck together ('73 F100 4wd, shortbed, detroit lockers Fr/Rr, 3" lift w/33s, 460SCJ). It should do well.

I'm actually suprised the Suby did that well. It's only a TS wagon, so it's underpowered, but the AWD had great traction. I didn't even air down. The next mod will be limited slip differentials front and rear. Where do I get those?

That looks like so much fun but wouldnt the sand just get absolutely everywhere. I didnt know you were aloud to drive on any beach legally.
