Thinking about a used STI

Ok I bought my 05 WRX brand new, and have been driving it for a year and half. Now I kinda want to change it to a used STI for more power. Do you guys think it's worth it?

You know, I was thinking abou the same thing too. . . Do you think it might be cheaper to buy an STI, or make your car as fast or faster than an STI? Food for thought. . .

But hey, never can go wrong with an STI, I was actually thinking about buying a 06 in december. . .

Yeah I know, but I was thinking what if the last owner burned it out..... You know, buying a used sports car could be a pain in the butt...

you would be suprised how many older middle aged men bought these vehicles for midlife crises cars. I used to sell them, more older people bought them then younger kids that beats on em. just find one thats not modded. and if you can meet the seller.

Question

I was looking around and found this thread, and thought wow!!! I was just thinking about this not more than 5 minutes ago! I also have a 05' wrx i bought brand new as well and was thinking, maybe i made the wrong choice? But now i think about it dosen't every other wrx owner think the same thing? What are some of you guy's thoughts as to how to go about a problem such as this one?

I know someone who bought a used 04 sti for the same price that my friend bought a new 05. My friend with the 05 was pissed but in any case a new car is a new car. It will have less problems and you know what has been done to it in terms of abuse. The guy with the 04 is super happy with buying his car and so far hasn't had any problems with it so my suggestion is try to find one of those cars that are owned by older dudes like impreza25rstn said.

Thanks for your replies guys. I guess I'll just stick with my WRX since the pre-owned ones are all modded. I'll keep it and keep modding it.....

Wink

Good luck on your mod's ! I taught about selling my sti at one point for the 2009 usdm skyline , but decided with all the mod's on the car it would be about the same as the skyline minus that $75000 price tag , plus I like the four door's .
