Anyone out there have the Subaru Platinum Mastercard from Chase?

If so any thoughts on it? Financing, APR, Fees, etc.

I got my card mid last year. I guess I didn't Qualify for a Platinum, so I just got the basic. I mainly use it to pay for my School Tuition. Not much to say about it. They gave me $25 worth of free Subaru dollars (after $100 is earn, they'll send you coupons in the mail) 3% From every purchase if applied towards Subie bucks. It's hard to get to $100, but patience and a lot of spending is key. They also gave me 9 months of no financing on my balance, which I don't have, but good to know it's there. What else...no fees at all.. no Annual Fees, nada...... I believe my APR is 13% which is better than my student CC of 17%. That's about it.. hope I helped.

BTW: it's cool having a cc with the Subaru Logo on it.. It makes you proud to be an owner.

 

It's too bad Subaru started using Chase instead of MBNA, I had a really bad experience when a 100$ coupon was never sent to me (or was lost in the mail). I called Chase and a cust rep promised to reissue the coupon. A week later I got a letter saying that reissuing coupons is agaist their policy and they can only add a courtesy 25$ towards the next coupon.

I am seriously thinking about getting rid of the card. A coupon can not be split, you have to spend the whole hundered or loose the diference, so you can only use it on expensive things like 15K miles maintenance or a new car. It just keeps you buying new Subarus (like it was in my case, I had 650$ in Subaru bucks and those nice deals on '03 WRXs came along :-)
