I would presonally recommend that you find a TRUSTED subaru mechanic who is friendly enough to give you advice and someone you can just talk too. I go to the guys at LIC and after the first visit (didn't get any service) with my friend they remembered my name and would spend 15 minutes talking to me about sway bars and how they feel about each brand.
For the most part I think everyone on here will say that light mods are definitly helpful and safe AS LONG as you do some research on each mod before ever buying anything.

yeah I am reading feedbacks on different brands and seeing which companies specialize in which upgrades. there are deff not going to be any shortcuts taken on this car...

short cuts are almost always bad as from my personal experience. I didn't take my time when i bought my springs and i'm finding that i rather have something lower in the front.

yeah i have learned it the hard way as well.

so i have some more questions and i think that we can keep this thread running for anyone to post up their questions instead of making new threads for every question that they might have.

here are some more of my questions:

1st- i know the main concept of the turbo back exhaust but can someone please see if the planned upgrades will complete my 1st project(100% exhaust)...please...

downpipe
uppipe
high flow cat(will come with hks high power exhaust)
and 3" cat back exhaust

is this all that i'll need to replace?

2nd- Is hks high power exhaust good on sti's?

3rd- What other brands are good at making downpipes, uppipes, turbo manifolds, ext.

I think this might help you with understanding some of the exhaust on the wrx

http://www.zerospec.com/imagesshop/a...iagram-def.gif

It shows you what area counts for the axel back section, cat back section and then the turbo cat section which includes the first 2 areas.

I personaly like the way the prodrive axel back muffler sounds; and the oval tip is sexy. I'd be interested in hearing what others have to say because exhaust is next on my list of things to do.

Topspeedsales.com they are in Alpharetta, cant believe u havnt heard of them already. Deffinatly the best subie tuner anywhere around Atlanta. I lived in Gwinnett for awhile and every subie person I know of up there only goes there. Good luck with everything.

I have heard of them but I didn't know if they specialized in Subarus or not.

Hey, another question.

If I was to get a Cobb AccessPORT 2.0, how much would it cost me?

Check out their website... they have alot of subies and evos tuned to 500+ whp... Id say thats very specialized. They are Protuner Cobb dealers. So give em a call cause thats the only place around Atlanta that I would reccomend.

Most vendors will sell at or very close to Cobb's price. If you're able to find a used one, you might be able to knock off a few hundred clams.

I would recommend trying to score a bundled deal with the Cobb AP, some exhaust, and a tune from a local shop. They might be willing to get you a package deal on something like that.
