I was so excited when I got my car I for got to ask whe I picked it up. Are they free? ?

no floor mats.. you have to buy them from canada if you want some oem ones. or you can you buy the black wrx ones. there are some few group buys going around for them if you want to join in.

You should get something before the carpet turns into a big blue afro. I wish subaru would use a different carpet material in the imprezas.

which one would you rather have?

Everbody knows a car should come with floormats but personally I'd rather have to buy and install mats than HID headlights.

Umm....pretty much most cars don't come with floormats. Most time they are inclueded in some package or something. You may not realize that you paid extra, but you paid extra.
Think of it this way, if it was included in the price of the car- you still pay for floor mats, its just involved in a higer price for the car.

P.S. the STI is meant as a performance, pseudo race car- how many race cars have extra mats inside?

Every Honda (or any other manufacturer, actually) I've ever bought had carpetted floormats as a $50-$100 option. I was throroughly surprised when I bought my RS that floormats were included in the price of the car and sitting in the trunk.

I know, my family owns Honda World Westminster,Honda World Downey, and Rock Honda, We give them away with the civics, and any car over 20,000 comes with them from the factory.

dont diss the evo... an evo can easily run with an STi most anywhere, and its specs are even more raceing-edge then the STi's.

Make up your mind - do you mean race cars or not?.

these are NOT race cars, you build a race car and they do not have power windows, ac, and back seats. This is a fast production car. both the evo and Sti are great track performers and there is no dening both car's potential. I stole a set of WRX floormats from a friend, problem solved.

BTW did you see that EVo that beat the porsche up pikes peak? awsome. and fairly stock production car!

The evo is reportedly easier to drive. the sti has more grunt and looks better to me, that is why I got it.

no big deal, it is just a car.....
