Exclamation sound vs performance

hey guys. i have a 2002 wrx sports wagon. the work done has included; (exhaust) i've removed the resinator, but kept the cats also went 3" pipe after cats, but before rear axel thats where it goes to 2" pipe & to a flow master muffler. i've removed the bottom off my air box. i've added a blitz blow off valve, which by the way i dont know if it works properly. also installed is a cobb access port 2.0. now for the problem; when i get out of gear the rpm's drop down to almost 0 then its back up to 750ish, occasionally the car stalls, furthermore; at times there is back firing. any ideas? thax for your time...

is your blow off valve recirculating or is it just 100% atmospheric vent?
if its not recirculated, its the bov thats causing your rpm drop.

well, from my experience, i tried plugging the recirculation hose and doing atmo. release on the stock bov, car ran like crap and the idle was really bad...like step on the gas, rpm will drop almost dead and rise back up, i even stalled on a bump. bov also causes backfire.

weeks later i tried the same with a hks bov and it worked fine but i got rid of it at the end because i got annoyed by the sound...though i enjoyed the backfire. others have experienced bad idle/rpm with aftermarket bov.

reinstall your stock bov and see how it goes.

Yeah I have had similar problems on my WORX BOV. You can try tuning the BOV if that doesn't work with your kind of BOV then just go back to stock. good luck
