Talking So you think your STi is Expensive to Own

Just back from visiting Ireland and was telling everybody about my new purcahse '07 SWP STi, just being a pain and making them jealous ha ha..

But I did an experiment and rang up a few insurance companies for a laugh to see how much Insurance i would have to pay for an 07 STi in Ireland and wait for it..........

Only 1 Insurance company would do it out of about 5 and the price they quoted was $7000 per year... And thats with no penalty points and a clean licence

Tax/Registration is around $800 each year too

Oh yeah and the cost of an '07 STi is around $83,000 (65,000euros) I kid you not...

and gas is $5.23 per gallon it 98Octane though but still come on..

So if you think your STi is expensive well at least you don't live in Ireland...

I was looking at a british car magazine in santa cruz, and in the american import section A 2004 chevy taho cost about $65000, and a 2005 dodge viper is about $127,000. I do think though that in some European nations the minn wage is $20 A Hour...... So I kind of think it evens out in the end........I think

No wonder they take driving seriously. The cost of ownership is staggering. "Driving" is a privilege indeed.
