How do you get cigarette smell out of an interior? I am going to look at an RS 2.5 tomorrow night but the bad thing is the owner smoked in it and I cannot stand that smell....will it come out or should I just not look at the car? Just when I thought I found something to look at.......

 

Some detailers use Ozone to get rid of the Smell. Check out a few in your area. There are better way's than freebreeze

the smell was the least of the cars issues. It was junk...ragged out....owned by a kid that did not give a damn about it....

 

From past experiance with used cars. Smokers in general do not take good care of their cars and SUV's. Now that is not a slam on smokers just and observation.

 

Dump a tablespoon or two of vanilla into a box of baking soda and set it on the floorboard. You can leave it in while driving if you can arrange it so that it doesn't spill, like putting it in a shoebox supported by crumpled-up newspapers.

A new modern method might be to try one of those new style air purifiers such as the 'living air classic'

 

Call a large local used car store, Ask for the used car manager. Ask him if he could recommend someone local who removes smells from cars. (uses a machine to do it).. If that doesnt work, call another used car manager.

The guy here charges us 20bucks a car. He leaves the machine in for like 4 hours, its a great help. These guys are usually mobile, they should even meet you at work.

Or look in the yellow pages, but calling a used car manager could be a better help.

 

that car had more troubles than smoke smell in the interior..it was a ragged out POS.....worth maybe 5grand...and I passed on it.......
