Smog Testing Woes inn Cali
Having trouble smogging my Suby because
of my intercooler. The vf-30 turbo is not a problem nor is my fuel injectors (550cc) or electronic tuning. The MRT Down pipe has a cat but the up-pipe is a Vishnu (no cat). do know of what parts carry CARB certification? I was told I have to do a 2 stage test with the sniffer tube in the exhaust and want to get it over with. HELP!!

i hope you're a decent mechanic, it sounds to me like you're going to have to pull the MRT front mount out of the car and throw the stocker back in for your visual if they're giving you a hard time about it.
you can do a search here for a thread that has CARB EO number information (at least a link to the state database), but i doubt you'll find the I/C there. i'd post the link if i could remember what it was, since i posted it initially -- it should be in the bay area forum.
