Should I wait for 06

I am looking at buying a WRX Sport Wagon- should I start looking at 2005 models or should I wait for the 2006 models to come out later this year- does anyone have a scoop on if there are going to be major changes?

YES, the WRX for 06 will have a 2.5l instead of the 2.0l, which mean greatly increased torque, also ive heard roomer bout a beefier tranny. So if i was you, i would wait, and at least check em out, and if you dont like it, get a GREAT deal on an 05.

yeah.. you should wait. I'm thinking about trading my 04 for one hahaha... but I don't wanna go through the hassle of taking off my mods. I hope they fit the 06!!

Yup, you won't have anything to lose if you do wait for the 06 models. If the new STi will have a much powerful motor, I might trade-in my 05. Just a thought that's been creeping in my mind.

someone posted a actual dealer spec sheet for the 2006 lineup. there was for sure a 2.5L WRX. and everything else on the scooby lineup was either 2.5 or 3.0...no more 2.0 in 2006.

i have the very same question. there are two factors for me. One is the look and the other is the MSRP. If it looks like the pics that have been going around, I would go with the 05. If the MSRP jump by more the 2k, I would go with 05 with Premium package and still cheaper. that's just me.

I have been wanting/dreaming for a STi, but I don't think that would happen. Just too expensive for me.

every one has a car that's just out of reach they would love to own and drive. sometimes it's not just the price, but the price + insurance and upkeep.

I'd say wait until you see the redesign of the 06 (if there is one) and see how you feel about the car then. I agree, even if you don't like it then the 05s will be a good deal.

that is exactly where I draw the line. The cost of ownership is just too much for me. So what is the lotto up to now?
