Rear Brake Noise ('05 Legacy GT)
Rear Brake Noise
Just picked up a new '05 Leg GT about three weeks ago. My wife actually let me drive the damn thing the other day and I noticed that there was rear brake noise coming from the driver's side. It almost sounds like the pad is constantly rubbing against the disc when I'm off the brakes. Not to mention, when slowing down from highway speeds the wheel & dash both vibrate quite a bit, and the rubbing noise increases out of the rear. This is my fist subie (and first foreign car) so I'm not sure if this is how it should sound/feel, however I doubt it. Does anyone have similar occurances?

I would first jack the rear of the car off the ground and rotate the rear wheel by hand and inspect for any binding or drag. Do the same for both sides. Do you hear the noise when turning the wheels by hand?

I get the same noise wich I just think is brake dust, but I do still get it with my aftermarket brake pads, kinda got used to the squealing noise cause my pads aren't "noise" free...but i don't get the vibration.....
