Okay...i have about 6-700 miles, and have a few questions.

1. I have been getting shocked everytime i get out of the car. It gets annoying. Is there something I should do? I tried adding the ground wires but it seems like the don't help. Info would be great. Thanks

2. When I corner...a little hard, it seams as the trunk pops or something is sliding around in the trunk....banging against the sides. But i have nothing in the trunk. What is it?

3. My doors, my hood, and my trunk seems harder to open then normal...the make a loud pop sound when opening. Is my frame bent? Doesn't seem normal. Would like help on this. hood hard to latch too. trunk hard to close as well.

would like help as it's a new car, and if it's something like bent frame...i'm going to be very pissed. let me know peeps. thanks

1. shoes huh? doesn't happen in other cars.

you never drove a neon. it has nothing to do with your shoes. it depends on the seat fabric, the clothes you wear, how you get out of your seat (sliding is worse), and the humidity (this is noticeably worse in winter).
basically normal static, just like a rug in your home.
the trick is to keep your fingers on the seam next to the window, or the outside panel/roof while getting out of the car. don't let go of it until you're out of the car.

 

I get that little "bump" on occassion too.

I think its comin from the jack,Im goin pack a little padding around it and see whats up, Give it a try too.

Trunk takes a little more force to close than my other car. (noprob)

Shocks me too..(Winter here also,..Static electicity)

Had the same sound in my 03 wagon. After much grief, I discovered it was just the spare tire, not tightened down. Now.. no more noise! The car is extremely tight now. And I've gotten the same "shock" thing in most of my cars. It comes and goes for no apparent reason. Just hold onto something metal when you get out of the car (like the door!) Or touch the car with your key after you get out. No more shock.

 

And NEVER,

Change out your ECU in the winter....<GGGGG>
