question about GC impreza

what are the perfromace differences on the 2door vs 4door... which one is better? weight difference? chassis difference?
just curious.

The 4 door leaves me to believe that it's more balanced and has a better chassis because the B-pillar is near center on the chassis.

The weight difference is like only 25lbs.

The backseat in my 2dr is actually pretty useless and most sideskirts in Japan were available for the 4dr and wagons because the 2dr WRXs were fairly rare to see. The differences is small but the sideskirts are different lengths. Found that out yesterday when sizing Orciari sideskirts that I was told would work by the vendor only to find out they aren't the same.

which car is a better car? performace wise.. why is the 4door BETTER or WORST then the 2door and why..

I've got no idea if its true. I've never seen any mention of it before but I'd rather have a 4dr so that the rear seat is actually useful.

gc8 is the body style for the RS from 98 to 01. the new style impreza starts with code gd i think... right?

G meaning Impreza
C is for a sedan
F is for a wagon
M is for a coupe
8 is the EJ20
6 is the EJ25
4 is the 2.2L motor (not sure if that includes the turbo variation.

so a 99 usdm RS would be a gc6?? doesn't sound right to me, but you may be right.

The theory is that the four door models have a better front to rear weight ratio versus the two doors. Even though they (the 4 doors) weigh about 25lbs heavier the weight is more distributed better towards 50-50.
