Potenza re070 + snow = disaster

Just wanted to let everyone know that RE070 are the worst tires ever in the snow. I was going about 5mph and braked, I slid 8 feet and hit a pole. lol. So beware for those of you going to tahoe this week! peece!

eek!

I wish Subaru made it more well known that the 070s are *not* mud and snow rated. In the snow, give me RE92s over 070s anyday.

I hope the damage wasn't too severe.

I know the feeling (well almost). I have Pirelli 6000's which are a "summer" tire. We had about 5" of snow a few weeks ago and it was the first time I ever drove my WRX in the snow. Taking off was fairly easy but when I tried to stop...Oh my god! I am definitely saving for some all-season tires. I hope it doesn't snow til after x-mas. Oh and sorry about your car.

Don't even bother with all seasons. Go for dedicated snow/summer set, and you will be infinately happier.
