possibly a dumb question

Anyone know exactly why Subaru decided to give the WRX black side skirts? I'm assuming they didn't paint them because of all the road grime and rocks that get thrown up by the tires?

They actually can be colormatched at the factory in silver, wr blue and white.

I didn't know that. I guess you have to order your car from the factory to get that or is it part of the ground fx package they offer? I've seen pics of cars in the forum w/ color-keyed skirts and they look good.

I imagine you could get them as an option at your dealer, but honestly I don't know. I have sonic yellow, which means I am sporting black sides.

I will get them painted though

I actually had mine painted to match. The bodyshop does them for $60 each side. They look good but a friend of mine already scratched on putting on her snowboarding boots. It looks super hot though.

hmmmmm...

hmmmm......i didnt know this and wasnt told about this at the dealership a year ago...wish i knew.....but damn....i'm gonna have to wait till i pay the damn car off before i can do anything slightly mod related......
