Krinkov, I don't know you man, but oh hell no....that is too funny. Spent 10 years in Japan and have been back in the US for two....made me remember every funny little thing about Yokohama.

7-11's in Japan rock hard. I miss my Beef Obento

Thanks for the pics.

I'm really jealous! I was thinking of going to Japan next year but it's so expensive. Probably just go back to Europe.

well that was about it for the rally, I just about ran out of money by then so I decided to spend Sat and Sun night back in Sapporo, which actually turned out to go down in history as one of my top three party weekends of all time so its not all bad Besides Solberg DNFd the next day which would have been sad to see anyhow

Sapporo is my new favorite city anywhere (and yes, that girl hasa stuffed animal on her head!)

this town goes off, GOES OFF!! and its great to be a westerner here, theres really hardly any here and I got tons of attention everywhere I went. Had random girls sending me drinks from the other side of the bar, man if your looking to hook up...

Sat night I got taken up to a cool spot on top of a hill to see Sapporo all lit up at night. Gorgeous. Its the 5th largest city in Japan but its still managable to get around and not too crowded like Tokyo or Yokohama. You can drive your car down the middle of town with no prob. Hopefully this is where I'll be moving too!

oh yeah Ryan, I had the milk up there, damn your right. Im really not that big on dairy but its the best damn milk anywhere.

I think this is the first long post I've EVER had the attention span to read. Thanks much.

Did you happen to hear any indication that ticket sales would ever become less difficult to get for this event in the coming years? Hearing how hard they are to get almost breaks my heart because I'm dead set on going in the next couple of years.

Hey, if you end up zipping all of your pics, I'd be anxious to check out the rest of them (or are you gonna put them all in this thread?)

with a heavy heart I waved goodbye to Sapporo and flew back to Tokyo on Monday. Back to the sea of humanity.

This train car is NOT crowded. Trust me.

the Japanese LOVE to anthropomorphize every inanimate object imaginable. Heres a happy yam fellow

passed this big gold sperm building a few times, anyone knowwhat the hell it is?

okay, after getting back to Tokyo, I decided to hit up Roppongi, the legendary nightlife spot in Tokyo. Honestly I didnt have any fun there at all. maybe it was because I was coming off such an awesome weekend in a place with a cooler vibe, maybe its because Roppongi is more knownas where the westerners go to party and I really have alot more fun partying with the locals. Dunno, but it just wasnt really happening that night, the whole area was alot smaller than I thought it was going to be, like one main strip a few blocks long and a couple side streets, whereas Sapporos nightlife sprawled out in all directions for a couple miles, seriously! I ended up at the bar at TGI Fridays at midnight, no joke. I was talking to a guy from California who had been out there for 6 years, he even said Roppongi had gone WAY down hill in the last couple years, now its mostly strip bars and massage parlors with guys on the street harrassing every white guy they see to come in, gets real annoying after the 3rd or 4th time walking down the street anyhow, kind of a let down, but I got this funny pic, in front of an appartment right in front of one ofthe busiest nightclubs in Roppongi. LOL, well what the hell did they think it was going to be like when the moved in!

If not mistaken, it's one of the Asahi Beer Company buildings. Affectionately referred to as "Kin-Unchi".....Golden Turd.....It's supposed to be the flame from a torch....

According to the JDM wife.
