Hey guys so glad I could find a board that isn't filled with crap. I just bouight an 05 STi Blue and its getting installed with LJ so I wount be able to pick it up untill Tuesday. I have never owned a Subaru untill now, Honestly I have never had anything but a Honda 5 of them infact. I am totally floored to have something totally new in every aspect, I seriuosly have NO clue I know nothing about them. Could use some info about general maintance and what to watch out for. I have already picked up a few things JIC Bullet catback, FORGE blowoff valve and a set of Toyo FZ4 I also have some springs in mind to give it a slight more agressize stance, I will post pics asap after I pick her up Tuesday.

KEEP ER REAL

I might as well get this out of the way: take the BOV back and return it; you are asking for serious problems if you install it, especially on an otherwise stock car.

welcome!

and if you plan on, for some reason, keeping a bov, get a worx. you can adjust it so you wont run so rich (sonic boom backfires)

and use the forum to your advantage. i've looked at things online and compared them to people's experiences on here and it's helped a ton!

Before getting too deep in mods....ENJOY the car and learn it in a stock condition.

This will ensure a few things....

The most important being, feeling the value of the modifications.

You see too many WRXs and STi's getting wrecked because new owners don't become familiar with the cars. Get to know how it handles, how it stops, how it accelerates. Take it easy and learn the car, lots of differences between FR, FF and the AWD's.

This place is the most user friendly internet board I have ever been on. Good luck with the car, c-ya around.
