Newbie to forum...Hello
Hi everyone spent the last few days poking around your forums, I like them by the way, and thought it time I introduce myself. Had cookies turned off and wasn't able to post, oops, took me a while to figure out problem
. Sometimes I am not to bright ... but bright enough to but a '02 silver rex wagon
.
I have had it for almost a year now and is only slightly modded mostly for comfort and looks. It is my travel companion, seen two oceans and many states. Here is a list of what I did, feel free to suggest or give contructive critisism to what ever I say or did.
First I pimped her out a little with leather, a moonroof, clear sidelens (not OEM not happy with fit, be careful), MOMO race leather shift ****, DEFI gaugepod (exhaust temp, boost, oil temp)and FormulaOne tint. She came stock with OEM short throw, upgraded speakers and sub (not bad but I think I blew my tweeters all ready, needed bass filter), extended armrest, and autodim rear mirror.
Then I mounted my laptop in her with GPS antenna, fm modulator, power inverter, and 80GHD with over 5000 mp3s.
For performance I installed an MRT rampod intake, and GFB BOV.
And had installed a Apexi turbo timer and boost controller (no shop yet...). Next mod in mind when I get cash is the MRT turbo-back dual exhaust with uppipe and the TurboXS UTEC (any input on this is greatly appreciated). Also brakes and wheels have been bothering me (expensive upgrade...for now).
thanks again for the terrific site

welcome. i just bought purchased some defi-link gauges for my 04 WRX. i wanted to do leather but the 04 seats are different from the 02-03.
04wrxsti: you can get a leather kit from Katzkin. my shop did a silver wagon not too long ago with graphite leather and black inserts. it is really nice and not that expensive.

wow nice start on upgrades. not to bag you about your mods but the moonroof probably ****ed up the sterdiness of your car. so it might not be as sturdy as it was b4 the moonroof. i would be careful about the mods.! but nice start!

I actually got a realy good deal on the leather and moon roof from a dealer in Portland OR were I bought the car. I dropped it off at the dealer and picked it up there and only paid $1700 for both. A dealer just 20 miles away wanted $5800 for the same. As for the sturdiness I am not too worried, I plan on putting in strut bars to make what is important more rigid. I wanted comfort, like the AC some people don't like the weight but I like the comfort. Not to mention the car looks quit high class now I'll see if I have a pic that is low enough res to post. Also I have seen a few cars where the guys put in the leather themselves and it looked really good and it doesn't look that difficult built to fit and even works with side air bags.
