New to Subaru tuning

I am looking at buying an 04 WRX, and was wondering what I need to do to swap in an 07 STI trans with the DCCD.

Don't buy an 04 WRX!!!! Buy an 06-07 because of the 2.5 and then do a 6-speed. The WRX 2.0 make no power.

I wish someone told me that before I bought my 04 WRX. The 06-07 WRX's are way better deals. Better brakes, 2.5L, ect. I love my 04 but just took lots of $ to get going fast

Well, I wouldn't say the 2.0L won't make power. From what I've seen, the 2.0L make about the same horsepower as a 2.5L, but a lot less torque and slightly more lag.

True it's possible. Anthony (xhangman) is living proof you can make nice power with the 205 and 18g. I'm just saying if I had to choose another WRX it would be the 06-07 for the 255

Dude, buy an STI.... Trust me. avoid all that bs in swapping this, swapping that. I did the wrx route and wish I would've saved/waited a bit more and got an STI
