New Member, just wanna say Hi
Just got an '06 wrx wagon yesterday and am loving it. It's such a HUGE step up from my '97 civic.
Wonder what kind of trouble I'll get into joining this forum.

Well I bought an 06 WRX TR and since I have joined this forum I have learned a ton about the car. Any pics of the wagon? What color is she?

It's the Steel Grey one and not sure how to post pics.
Good thing soggynoodles is my coworker, hahaha. If I have any questions, he should be able to answer for me.
One quick question though, during my break-in period, I'm already not going over 3200rpms but in the manual, it says to not go a constant speed for a lengthy time. My commute to work is 30mi each way, 90% freeway. Is there anything special I should know?
Thanks!
Sunny

For my break in period I just kept the rpm and speed down. For the lenghty drive, maybe leave a little early and take a little break in the middle or something. I dont think it will hurt the car as long as your not driving crazy in it.

Oh crap, speed down? Even when kept at around 3000rpms, speed is around 75-80mph?
Think I just f'ed up the wagon.
Thanks for the quick reply, dude.

Yeah, you won't hurt the car, when I purchased my car (back in '02) I bought it in Portland Oregon while I lived in Santa Cruz CA, app 1000 miles almost all freeways, took plenty of breaks and drove slow/fast, slow/fast (while not surpassing 4k RPM).
95,000 miles on the car now, not a single problem.
Oh and welcome to teh Iclub!

I'm not sure if this classifies as getting into trouble but I can tell you that being on I-Club will entice you into modding your car more. Whatever, welcome to i-Club.

I've been breaking it in by not going over 3200rpms but I'm wondering if I should broaden that range, let's say on the freeway, keep it between 3-4000rpms since the manual says not to keep it at a constant speed.
What do ya'll think? Yay or Nay?

Yes, the WRX is a huge step up from a Honda! You really can't fall much lower than owning a Honda!

These are very fun cars and I'm sure you'll have a great ownership experience with it!
