Hey, just joined. Right now I have a silver nissan sentra spec-v. Its ok, but I'm looking to go turbo all wheel drive someday. I'm starting nursing clinicals in a couple weeks and it will last a year. Hopefully I will be able to get a new car shortly after. I wanted an evo or sti, but the reality of price, insurance, maintenance, I will probly get either a mazdapeed6, legacy GT or WRX. I'm leaning towards the WRX, but my gf thinks I should get something more "mature" since I'm in my mid-30's, but I think the WRX limited without the big wing looks pretty good. What do you guys think?

I also cannot foot the bill for an STI or Evo so I went with the WRX and I am very happy. I have had no problems with the car. I am 27 and I think the WRX is a very mature car, for that matter I think Subaru in general is a grown-up company.
I wanted to get a STI also, but I am very happy with my 06' WRX Wagon. I went with a wagon because it has all the potential of a sedan but you don't see them as much. By the time you do see them its too late. I've been drooling over all the WRX/STIs especially the wagons in the mebers rides section. I'm glad I finally got my Suby, slowly I'll get her all prettied up to get dirty.
Welcome to i-Club.
You should trade in your Nissan Sentra for a WRX Sedan they are
great cars and are very reliable too.I love my 04 WRX and I honestly
wouldn't trade it for anything. How listens to their wife get a Subaru
WRX and show her how wears the pants in your family.

I couldn't be happier with my subie. it's an '01 that had very few miles on her when i bought it 2 years ago. I originally bought it because I liked the body styling and as I learned more about the car, I realized I had made a smart purchase. subarus have so much potential, it's incredible. not to dis nissan, but I heard that they're not very reliable as 4 cyl. engines go. not like toyota or subaru.

I think the 4 cyl. engines are reliable now, they just had some problems before 2005 with butterfly screws getting loose and cat. converters breaking up. I put a header on to forgo cat problems, but the screws did get lose and messed up the engine. I had it replaced at 25k miles. They then put loctite or something on them so there should'nt be any more problems. But your right about the potential, theres only so much you can do with our engines, while yours is easier to mod and has much more potential being turbo already.

actually, my engine isn't turbo...yet. it's a 2.5rs, not an sti. one thing I am glad about is that it has slightly more displacement being a 2.5L engine. other than that, I have yet to do all the mods I want to her. I have done a few things, but they are mostly little things like exhaust, intake, plug wires, ground wires, etc. small things for now. welcome to i-club, btw. i forgot to say that last time. better late than never, right? unless you're racing, of course. anyhow, enjoy your stay.
