Hey all, I'm Dan. I'm new to I-club (made account a while ago, but never really posted). I posted a lot on Vivid Racing, but a bunch of SRT-4 n00bs took over and making dumb posts. I want somewhere to post and discuss about Subarus (although Evos are good too
)
I met some fellow i-club members at the WRX/Evo shootout at Englishtown raceway already.
Little about my car - it's a 2002 WRX and here are my mods:
Engine:
GFB BOV
Vishnu uppipe
NGK-7 spark plugs
HKS CF/Ti catback
Helix downpipe
Walbro 255 fuel pump
Perrin FMIC
Blitz SUS short ram
PE650cc injectors
PE1820 turbo
Greddy oil catch can
EcuTek and Delta Dash
Suspension:
18x8 Anthracite SSR Comp with polished lips
225/40/18 Pirelli P ZERO Nero tires
TEIN S-Tech springs
Perrin rear sway bar
Perrin rear end links
Transmission:
JDM Version 6 STi RA gearset
ACT Street clutch
Exedy flywheel
Kartboy SS and bushings
Misc:
JDM STi projector lights with HIDs
JDM STi fog light covers
JDM STi grille
and there is a bunch of other small stuff ...
I'm more than happy to help anyone out with performance mods and I'm sure I'll be able to learn from you guys too

and I have TONS of pictures of all the install I have done on my car. And yes, I have done everything myself (with some friends help on the harder stuff) even the gearset (those are cool pictures!) and I have writeups and directions on some of the harder mods I've done too.

Cool...I haven't modded my car yet but I work in a body shop so I will play the hook-up game if you can help me with some of the things I have questions on. So my first question is..How much power can the stock block of a EJ20 hold without breaking anything??

That's more of a question of tuning from my understanding. I road dynoed on Delta Dash at 318 WHP and 289 WTQ. I've read about one WRX with a 20g putting down 370-ish? But his turbo blew or something, so I can't say anything about the reliability of the engine at that amount of power. I'm also boosting 20 PSI and I wouldn't go over that on the stock internals or you're asking for trouble. Mainly most people stay in the low 300s on the stock block on a good tune because you can always blow your motor at 250 on a bad tune.
