I have such a tough time with choosing on which. Currently, I am carless (only an Odyssey). I sold my 996 GT3 recently.
Between these two options, they are both nice. But prices in HK is like 70K USD for '05 s203 and $40K for Spec C type RA.

My instinct is to go with the Spec C! What do you guys think?

Go with your instinct. I feel ya on the Spec C. In my opinion i think the 06 are "spicy hotness" before i didnt like them, but since my friend got one they are great. Im sure the Spec C are even better. When you finally get your car, which ever one you get, post some pics.

You sold your 996 GT3 for a Suby? Did you get caught scamming the government? You are either a dedicated Subaru nut or...i dunno...I'd trade my WRX for any of the 3 cars!

The GT3 was 1999 car. it only has 12K KM on it. it is a clubsport so it has the factory roll cage and the whole nine yards. However, I can't drive it much because i have got a family. I rarely have time to drive my car/bikes but only on weekends.
And I can't put my family in the GT3.. thought itd be a waste and for the money I sold it in HK, I can get a brand new one in teh US when I move back in teh future.

I had a Evo VIII MR before I had the GT3. I liked it. It was tuned by Koyama san. but it didn't last long onthe track because I skimmed on my suspension and skills.

This time around, I want something that I can just daily drive...... 4 seater, fun... my other choice is a E55, but it costs almost twice as much! so i am not too keen on it.

My vote is for the 06 Spec C. The S203 is nice, but 30K USD can go a really, really long way in terms of mods. If you spent the money modifiying the Spec C, it would end up way ahead of the S203. The only thing you would miss is the "limited" factor... but let's face it... either way, it's still "just" a Subaru.

You can get a Legacy STI which has a bit more room.

i say s203, that way when im in hong kong next year i can trade you my usdm sti seats for your s203. sounds like an even trade!

ehhehehe.. it's all true. I think if I am going for a subby, it will be the spec c RA then. I also checked out a 99 GTR Vspec today....

put it this way, the S203 is based off of the Spec C Type RA.....so technically the S203 is just a hopped up version of the RA, but as froggy said, you wont have the serialized, limited production status with the RA as you would with the S203.

However, here's another thought, Flanders said to get the Legacy STi......well, even better yet, you should check out the Legacy S401. You can still get the performance of the Impreza, but have that extra room for the family/friends or boxes of stuff .
