This one great add-on feature to the board. This will finally put an end to all crying and whining about the post counts, avatars, user titles, ect.
Here is a breif description on how it works and what it does:
Info:
This add-on will place a whole new addition to your forum. You will get a store on your forum where members can buy goodies which they first have to deserve by posting good and by doing good on the forum. This add-on is fun and great on the same time, it generates many new posts and new members and the most important: it add's something to your forum wich is fun to use. Members needs an amount of points to buy a goodie.
What can members do on the Store:
At the moment, there are 16 goodies to buy on the Store:
Donate Points, Change Username, Change Custom Title, Change Custom Avatar, Give An Other Member A Custom Title, Add A Calendar Event, Add Glow To Your Username, Buy An Italic Username, Stikcy A Thread, Buy A Midi Song For Your Profile, See someone's last visit on profile, Scrap Card, Donate A Midi Song To A Fellow Member, Buy A Bold Custom title, Smilies In Custom Titles & Buy A Less Floodlimit.
How can members earn points:
Members can earn points by posting new replys & new threads. They can also earn points if their thread received a specific amount of views and/or reply's.
I am still tuning this add-on. "Prices" in our new i-Club currency "Scooby Snacks" or "¤" are yet to be determined as I want to make sure that this will not be abuses, since I just spent the last 72 hours making all this stuff work.
So, basically, you overall postcount does not matter anymore. I will bring your guys' ACTUAL post count back so you all can be proud of that, but the ¤'s will be determined based on the "good deeds" listed above.
Like I said, I am still tuning it, so please do not "buy" anything yet.
Give me some feedback on this, please.

Ok,
I think I am pretty much done setting up the point structure in terms of how many Scooby Snacks you based on what you do.
Here is a summary:
No ¤ are given for posting or replying in the Random Thoughts, Troll Hall or Dumpster forums.
2¤ is given to a person who starts a new thread in the tech forums.
3¤ is given to a person who replies to a thread in tech forums.
General forum participation is rewarded with 1¤ for posting/replying.
No ¤ are awarded in the Regional forums.
Basically, you only get the ¤ for participating or starting a valuable (to the whole community) discussion.
Also, I have an ability to reward people ¤ for pretty much anything. I will be looking for especially good posts and replies and I will reward those people.
Just as I have an ability to reward people, I can also take their Scooby Snacks away.
So, if I see people abusing this or generally being a pest, ¤ will be removed.

Post count is back. You can now again see the true post count next to your username. However, post count based Avatars are no more. The only way yo get an avatar is to contribute, contribute and contribute.

Yeah, I think so too.
It is fun, it is cool and it offers me one way of rewarding people that help me. Sure it is something small and silly (but fun and cool at the same time) but it is better than nothing.
Plus, there is a lot more I can do with this add-on. I am just trying to set it all up.

I didn't really "do it". This add-on was made by someone else. I just integrated it into the site.
I will take credit for making it work though, haha. This stuff is harder for me to do that to sway a 6MT into a US WRX. I am not techie. I am a gear head.

I don't think I can back-date it, sorry. I will try, but I do not think it is possible, as the Scooby Snacks accumilate just like stats. Real time.
Sure, those who have avatars, can keep them. Don't wanna stir this stuff up again.

WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE! :banana: Me like. I just dont get the rate thing. We can give/take other people's scooby thingamabobers by using the rate button?
edit: i dont know if giving other people custom names is such a good idea...with that feature you can pick any user and give them any title you want? or am i misreading/not understanding something?

I removed the CUSTOM TITLE from the store along with few other goodies. At least for now.
I am not sure how the rate thing works. I just "disapproved" your post, but nothing happened. I gotta figure it out.
Oh yeah, I can also ban people from the store. So in case someone really goes out of line with abusing this system, I will ban them from the store. Haha. Fun! Sort of like being kicked out of the Duty Free Shop at the airport if you are actually not flying anywhere.
