I like both. on nasioc i am mostly in the midwest forum, since there is way more activity then the i-club midwest forum, especially there is whole thread for Columbus people. Both sites are great and have alot of very helpfull and knowledgeble people.

BTW, anyone know how old each one is? If nasioc is older, it would explain why it has more info and is more popular
I-Club has been around longer than nasioc. When I first joined in Jan 02', nasioc didnt exist. Then some time later the split came... and blah blah blah.
I agree with you tho, people are much friendlier here. There are a lot of a-holes on high horses over there, but thats just the way things are...

I forgot I posted to this, I wasn't completly sure about I-club splitting, I thought I remembered it, it came right around the same time the vishnu started. When the "club" split off, I registered here and forgot about nasioc. One day I stubmbled across it on accident again and noticed it looked a little familiar. and for tygerstile they both started as one site. so I don't think either is older. The coolest thing I liked about I-club was the fact that you gave us a preview of what was going to come out in "sport compact car" all the time about the impreza. We kind of got a celebrity here that started the thing. made me feel I knew someone famous.

I started looking into my car saw an evo iv in a movie and found the impreza in 98 and bought it in 99, at that time nasioc was the only thing around. somewhere in between is when the i-club came around. (I was here from the beginning, but missed out a little in the middle) and spd tuning (spdusa.com) seemed to have the most valuble info on imprezas. so maybe he started it all....

extended thought, between the 2 of them, I think they had a hand in influencing what actually happend w/ the impreza, I think subaru heard what we were saying here and reacted. They both have a whole s-load of info if you need it.

Your chronology of events is a little off.

i-Club came before NASIOC. Alex (Imprezer) started i-Club.com, after success with other sites.

In 2002, Alex was found himself banned from his own site, hence the 'nasioc.com' domain name came into being because 'i-club.com' is registered to Alex. This board today is ½ of the result of the split.

By Alex's choice, we don't promote the rift between the two clubs. Bygones.

That sucks for Imprezer. Sorry that happened. I found i-club way back when, then, too, lost contact for a few yrs. I am registered to both and rs25. I think they all provide valuable info for my GC8.

I still find it funny when I started a thread. I got kicked out and was told NABISCO would have more So.TX ppl. Either way, there aren't many So.Texans online. oh, well... oh yeah, BTW they do bite your head off...

I am a proud member of both boards and have been for a long time. They are both great.
Pretty lame response but it is true.

I am a new user here on i-club, (despite my registration date i have been totally unactive here)

To be honest i did a search for 'nasioc flame' because I wanted to see what it was like here. Can anyone tell me what the general tone here is?

First off, I have never gotten a lot of crap on Nasioc (you can search for my username there, no conflicts ever) but i read the board daily and im just sort of weary of the attitude and general harshness there. I also just have a general feeling of having to be SOOO careful when i post and to word everything in a sort of 'hey omnipotent people. please help me' sort of way... I just wonder if there is a forum,. maybe this one, where you can speak without so much fear of being slammed. Is this that kind of place?

Yes, i-Club is a magical place... as long as you address us as 'almighty, all-seeing, omnipotent beings'.
