Yeah, honestly, I would like username and threads too.
Aside from regional forum "goofy" and sometimes poinless discussions, I think that there are no immaturaty in any of the technical forums. You can clearly see that by the number of deleted, edited, closer and otherwise "rotten" threds. I get almost none. And, I do not delete a single post aside from double post. That has been like that since last year. See how "full" the dumpster forum is. It has yet to be "emptied".
As a matter of fact, this site consists mainly from the "old school" croud that has been "with me" since day one back in 1998. So, they cannot be 10 years old.
Sure sometimes silly and noob questions come up, but on this site, those threads do not get deleted or left unaswered unline on "other" sites.
So, Cabal, I am not taking it personally, since I consider you to be one of the most contributing users on any site, but you are worng.
In all honesty, my site would be 10 times more popular and have 10 more traffic, but I choose not to opt for "quantity vs. quality". One good proof of that would be the OT Forum which is dead. Just the way I like it to be. On NASIOC, on the other hand, OT is the MOST visited forum. And who, but "10 year olds" go there?
The OT theory is really true. Just check it for yourself at the # of people there vs. the overall # of users online.
I am very happy with i-Club. So are those members that matter. The rest, are either neutral (which is politically correct) or haters. Haters are irrelevant (like Arafat) and I respect the neutrals.
Peace,
- Alex

hmm.. nasioc seems like the more popular forum.
i like i-club. it's much more friendly. but for parts and stuff, nasioc for sale is the best.
scoobymods.com is geat, not a forum i know,... i just wanted to say that.
i have to agree that a lot of kids surf these forums. but c'mon, they are just doing a little research. i mean, it's not like the post in the forums that require a lot of knowledge. ..no offense.
if you guys think the nasioc people are old and "mature", check out bimmerforums and stuff. those guys will eat any kinda streetracer.

End Of Story.

Ain't that the truth. Alex runs the best shift here.

To set things straight, I am not saying NASIOC is bad or sucks or whatever. After all, it is a bi-product of my semi-creation.
I will not say it is "stupid" since I am responsible for what it is today. Not understanding that is a fundamental error.
I am amazed on how fast and how big it grew. I just do not agree how it is run. Especially the "moderation" aspect of it. Forcing opinions down people's throat, is one not cool. I am guilty of doing that BEFORE, but I learned from my mistakes and doing things differently now. I think it works much better. Less street, more fun.
Of course, with 5 years of NASIOC archives (which belong to me as much as they belong to Nick and which I now finally have in my posetion) NASIOC is much more valuable for retreiving OLD info. However, OLD stuff gets old and new stuff is always here. So, I am not stressing too much about the archives. I prefer answering Noob questions myself over and over again, to not only educate them, but also self educate myself, since it pushes me to learn more and more things.
Basically i-Club and NASIOC are both great sites. They have a different "flavour" to them. You pick what you like best, or "eat" them both. Either way, Subaru Enthusiasts' community wins. And that is, what really matters.

Alex, you are being too nice.
I go to clubwrx, nabisco and i-club. They all have the same people for the most part and I like each for different reasons. I do enjoy OT on nabisco though, there are a few really funny threads there (dog launcher) but I don't like nick or his "if you don't like it leave" motto.
Alex > Nick.

I like posting here 'cause everybody helps everyone else out. You can even be a complete moron like me and put in your two cents without the fear of getting your head cut off. You don't get ripped if your a noob or you post in the wrong place. Sure they'll remind you of what you should do but unless you're being a complete retard everybody's chill.
props to i-club members and especially the moderators for a forum everyone can be a part of and enjoy.

I find it immature that people put down a forum just because people of lesser age inhabit it. People are people, just because someone is 14 years old, doesn't mean he's immature. I really dislike the fact that many people put younger people down.
With that said, I-Club for me is like my daily staple. I think I access more I-Club.com than anyone else
. At local forums, we chat, talk about things going on, and help each other out, and at technical, there are plenty of people with great knowledge about scoobies that are willing to help you. I know our local forums are basically deserted down at NASIOC and that reflects our local loyalty to Alex. Most of us in HIIC, including myself, has met Alex before and he's basically someone that alot of us can trust and to pick his brain. He has done alot to the old I-Club and the new I-Club to make us appreciate more about our cars. Imagine if Alex didn't go about with I-Club. How would we know so much about our cars?

I've been visiting this version of i-club since it started, and it is much better than the old one, or nasioc. This place is nice and friendly, thats why I joined. I come to this forum exclusively for all my scooby needs, and I don't feel like i'm missing anything. Besides, it takes me long enough just to read the new posts here everyday. I get turned off by most forums, this joint I like.

I've never been put off by posting here, never been belittled , never belittled anyone , learned a lot about my car , met a bunch of new friends and I realy enjoy the relaxed non flame atmosphere, thank you Alex.
Though I am not a youngster , I must appologize for my Immaturity which shows through from time to time(Daredevil constantly taunts my weaknesses with nasty pictures).I'm probably so immature I should be hanging with girls half my age , but being tossed in the dumpster here isn't all that humiliating!
Am I the only one who was damn proud to see Alex's I-Club sticker on that Fantastic Cusco car??? Good enough for them = great enough for me .
yet to see any NABISCO props on any famous Subies!
