Hi, my name's Ben, I'm 17 and I just bought this mess of a repairable.
I currently drive a '95 Eagle Talon ESi that's falling apart on me due to the 160k miles on it and I'm looking forward to driving something with some umph.
I probably won't do any extensive modding to it, throw some wheels on it and possibly getting to the point where I'll be able to upgrade the turbo and stopping for awhile, as it'll be my daily driver.
I realize it's gonna be a pain in the ***. However, we looked at the prices of the main stuff we'll need, and it really shouldn't cost us too much.
My dad is and has been a professional engineer for the past 20 years and been rebuilding cars for the past 30. I have full access to a shop and tools, so a mechanic and shop fees aren't going to play a major role in cost.
The salvage title essentially means nothing. I'm going to be driving it AT LEAST for the next 5 years, I have no plans to sell it at the moment.
Anyways, just wanted to say "Hi."

Welcome to i-Club.
That's going to be a lot of work to restore the car to safe operating condition. I see the drivetrain was shoved back in the collision, buckling the front sub-frame rails and breaking the driveshaft behind the transmission in the process. From the pics, I don't see any rippling of the roof so if the doors open and close properly you may have avoided a tweaked floorpan/weakened chassis. Hopefully you can install everything yourself to save on labor costs.
