My WRX's Appearance - Your Thoughts
Hi guys,
I own an MY98 WRX and I would be grateful for some feedback it’s appearance.
The red and silver car on the left is a current picture of my car. The completely red car on the right is a picture what my car would look like if I were to colour code it. BTW, my wheels are gold.
WRXs are common in Australia and a few years ago I introduced the silver to look different. Now I am unsure which looks better. Should I leave my car the way it is (red/silver), or should colour code my car (red only)?
Thanks in advance.

hmmmm
I voted for red only, and then had a second thought:
I can appreciate your wanting to have your car stand out from the crowd. To that end, red and silver look good together but it would be better if the entire lower portion of the car is silver, not just the nose.
Maybe its just me, but with just the lower nose silver it looks an unfinished wreck repair.

From the front, the two tone looks too much like the Outback Sport sold here in the states.
I prefer the cleaner look of all red, although I'd consider keeping the gold wheels.

I really like the red & silver look from the front, the side looks okay but that silver wing back there doesn't quite look right.
As Blingbling said, the Outbacks in the US are two colour and they look good imho.
Anyone with Photoshop or another graphics package care to silver in...
1. the rear bumper, and
2. the whole lower body?
I'm curious to see how those would look, I think it looks a bit odd right now because the silver is concentrated at the front.

Thanks for the replies, more feedback is welcome.
It depends on which part of Australia you are visiting. There are WRX Clubs in most states.
The two largest online WRX communities in Australia are:
www.wrx.com.au (Melbourne based)
www.mrtrally.com.au (Sydney based)
If you need more info don't hesitate to ask.
